Echo International Aid’s A-Team Fred and Jeremi recently took a trip to a village over the border in Burma (Myanmaar) to check out work on the new school library. We are thrilled to bring you this vision to show the construction of the library is well underway. This project was partly funded by the huge party we threw at the Old Melbourne Goal in July, and we’d also like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved. Your generosity is changing the world.
This joint project between Genesis Network, Kidlaunch and Echo to build a library on the Burmese side of the border has a $20,000 AUD budget of which half was raised in Australia. This library will serve not only as a functional building in addition to the existing school but also as a monument of progress for this village where aid simply does not normally reach. These villages are often overlooked by the mainstream aid, or are not accessible leaving these people to fend for themselves.
