Driving Change: The Upwey Community Rally for a Local Mother
At EchoNation, we believe in the power of local action. Today, we’re highlighting a grassroots project led by Jeremi and the local football community to provide a life-changing asset to a single parent in Upwey: A reliable car.
Why this matters For a single parent, a car isn’t a luxury—it’s a lifeline. It’s the difference between making it to work on time, getting kids to school safely, and having the freedom to navigate daily life without the stress of unreliable transport.
A True Community Effort What makes this project special is the “all-in” approach from our local businesses. We are proud to announce that several automotive suppliers have already committed to providing free parts to ensure the vehicle meets the highest safety standards (RWC).
Our Mission We are aiming to raise between $5,000 and $7,000. These funds will be used strictly for:
-
The purchase of a mechanically sound vehicle.
-
A fresh set of high-quality tyres.
-
Full Victorian Registration (12 months).
How You Can Participate We are inviting the EchoNation community to join the Upwey Football Club in “putting the hat around.” Whether you are an individual donor or a business looking to sponsor the remaining costs, your contribution goes directly toward the purchase price.
Echo International Aid is a registered Australian charity. If you’d just like to make a one-off donation, no matter how big or small, you can do that here.

How does your money help?
Your contribution, no matter how small, could be used to help provide essential support to people in need. You can donate to all of our causes, or choose a specific project to support. The examples below are typical for our International projects. In some more developed countries these costs can be much higher.
