The need
We hear constant media news about Australia’s “need” for a better standard of living. And then there is Nepal, number 146 on the world’s list of poorest countries.
Now, after the devastating floods of 26th August, over 900 lives have been lost, with over 4,000 still missing, and more than 20,000 children are in dire need of food, water, shelter and safety.

Through our personal relationships with charity contacts in Australia and Nepal, we have created an appeal structure which ensures that 100% of your tax-deductible donations will be used to purchase essential supplies and distribute them to the most affected villages, through our beloved friends at Gifted Hands and their small army of workers and volunteers. There are no on-costs of any kind, and because Gifted Hands are part of the Nepalese community, they can respond in the most practical and informed way possible.

Oil, rice, lentils, salt, water purifier tablets, flour, baby food, noodles, bottled gas for cooking.
Basic essentials
Tents, blankets, mattresses, mosquito nets, soap, toothbrushes, nappies, torches.
