Kong Dee is a 19 year old living in Sangklhaburi on the western border of Thailand. He was born in the Karen village Goh Mon Tha and is of
Karen ethnicity.
He now lives in Sangklhaburi with his aunty so he can attend the local high school. His parents were forced to flee Burma and now try to find work as laborers in Goh Mon Tha. Earning only enough to provide their family with the bare minimum.
The recipients of our services have sought out our help and are selected based on a variety of criteria. Specialists conduct community evaluations
to determine the potential significance of our support and if future development can be sustained by the community subsequent to the initial effort.
Every attempt is made to ensure long-term sustainability through local empowerment and leadership development rather than oversight and management.
Primarily we need donations, big or small, to continue Kong Dee’s education.
